Extra add On's: Part 1

People who know me also know the fact that I just cant stay one amongst the crowd and do my best to stand out. I love to accessorize and statement rings are my favorites. I don't want to brag about my collection here (I want you to be jealous) but I just want you to show you all the statement rings I have in order to help you choose when you shop next time. I have various types of rings but owl's, elephant and peacocks are my favorite one's. Rings add that extra Bling to your look giving you a completed look to any outfit you choose. Lets get to my collection.

This is pretty much my entire collection leaving one or two.
I hope you like them all but do let me know your favorite.

Love,

Get ready this festive season with me.

Hello lovelies,
I know there is no point apologizing for being away from this page because now its been like a habit to be irregular here. I was occupied with several works past few months, first being my mum and dad's 25th anniversary. Yayyy!!!! Then I had weddings and other stuff so this page was a little side tracked but I must say I missed it. Lets get straight to this post now. We know Diwali is near and there are weddings coming up next month so I wanted to share simple things required to look amazing this festive season. We love wearing traditional clothes and look Desi this time of the year( I am sorry I couldn't post it before Navratri )
I am doing a look breakdown here which I wore to a friend's wedding. Here it goes!!

This is how I looked that day and to achieve this make up I used is

My skin is not completely flawless, I do have blemishes and dark circles but that day I wanted to look more natural than painted.

Skin: After cleansing and toning I applied L'Oreal Hydrafresh  gel moisturizer which is perfect for oily skin people like me and then followed with Lakme CC cream which acts almost like a light coverage foundation. I absolutely love it! It covers up little blemishes and a bit of dark circles too. I have to powder my skin because it tends to get oily after sometime and the lights at the wedding specially when you are on stage will cause more sweating than usual so I powdered my face with L'Oreal true match powder. I used Maybelline cheeky glow blush in Peachy sweetie on the apples of my cheek.

Eyes: I wanted to be very simple with the eyes so I used this gorgeous pallet from maybelline diamond glow. I used the third color all over my lid that's all. I used lakme absolute kohl on my upper lash line and slightly smudged it to avoid harsh lines. I used the same kohl pencil on my water line too. Then I followed with Elle 18 eye sparkles in blue to line my lower lash line to add that extra drama. I finished it with loads of mascara from maybelline. I forgot to do my eyebrows but I already have dark eyebrows so never mind :(

Lips: I used Shy cherry from colorbar and then blotted it with a tissue.

I hope you like it :)

LOTUS HERBALS LIPSTICKS IN CARNATION AND ALMOND RUST:

Packaging:
I love the packaging. It is wheatish in colour with gold lotus printed on it. It opens up to get a metallic gold inner rim. The classy packaging looks a little too much for the price so it is a win-win when it comes to packaging

Formula:
The formula is very creamy. It is neither very moisturizing and not very dry. It is higly pigmented and stays up to 4 hours.

Colours:
Almond rust is a nutty brown amazing to sport brown lips. It looks almost like cadbury chocolate brown. it brightens up your complexion.
Carnation is more like fuchsia pink in a more creamy way. I love this colour and also hate it sometimes. It reduces my complexion and looks weird on me.

Will I buy this again:
I will try other colours but at the store will not risk buying it online.

Love,
Mounika Roches

ELF essential lipsticks review

Hello everyone. I know I am back after a very long gap and i am really sorry. I had my parents 25th anniversary to celebrate so I was very very busy all those days. After the anniversary I had to spend some time with my lovely cousins. Since the past few weeks my mood was really off due to some issues and it took some time for me to come out of it and concentrate on my life.
Coming to today's lip products, These are lipsticks by Elf. Eyes. Lips.Face is a popular brand in the US known for its quality make up at an affordable price. You can see number of videos in you tube from famous makeup guru's telling about their ELF favorites.
As most of you know I have my best friend in the US, we both discussed and thought of trying this brand. She sent me some products from ELF among which are these lipsticks.
I must say I love the names of these lipsticks. They are so girly and chick that I sometimes wear them just for those names. I have the ones named VODOO, POSH, CLASSY,  FANTASY, NOSTALGIC and FEARLESS

I must say these lipsticks are worth the price. They are all matte shades when topped up with a gloss look amazing. I wear them very often and personally like few shades to the core.

Overall review:
Pros:
Nice packaging for the price
Very affordable
Pigmentation is fine
Worth trying

Cons:
The lipstick is not very creamy but it is very dry.
 Not easily available in India

Overall Rating: 3/5

Will I buy these again: I may get these again to try different shades.

VODOO:

Vodoo is a brownish maroon shade. It is quite dark and looks amazing on fairer to wheatish complexion people. It instantly brightens up your face.

POSH:

Posh is almost close to Vodoo but this does not a brown tint in it. Posh is more like a pinkish maroon.

CLASSY:

Classy is such a pretty pink. It is a candy pink. Looks lovely on fairer complexion people. Acts like a nude pink.

FANTASY:

Fantasy is a chocolate brown. It is a beautiful brown which suits Indian skin.

NOSTALGIC:

Nostalgic is a pink brown. It is a nude pink. It has little brown in it.

FEARLESS:

Fearless is an amazing red. I absolutely love this colour.  My beautiful neice wanted something to play with and she accidentally found this. that explains the situation of the lipstick above

Favourite shades:
FEARLESS, POSH

Love,
Mounika Roches.
